Are you torn between replacing or refacing your cabinetry?
A common thing we hear from our customers is "our cabinets are solid oak, so we do not want to replace them but just upgrade the doors."
Most oak kitchens are never solid wood. In fact some oak doors have a veneer center panel or a laminated panel with the outside trim or rail being the only solid oak part. Most oak kitchens that we do replace, are often particle core cabinet boxes with oak veneer, and/ or almond coloured melamine interiors - leading the customer to believe that their cabinets are in fact solid wood.
Replacing or refacing can often end up costing as much as a new kitchen and you do not get the benefits of new, durable and soft closing drawer systems, new hinge systems, a new lifetime warranty as well as a new and more functional design.
Today, oak is not as expensive as it used to be and is no longer the premier choice for cabinet construction or doors. In fact it is less expensive than most other choices.
If you are torn with this decision, let us know and we would be happy to come out and assess the existing cabinetry and offer some solutions.
