River View: Whole Home Transformation
With a calming view of the St. Clair River, this home needed a major update to better suit the needs of the homeowner. The whole home was transformed into a rustic transitional styled space where the family could gather & entertain for years to come.
The existing home featured a dated kitchen that needed more storage and the ability to seat ten family members in the kitchen area. The main bathroom suffered from dated materials, a tub that would be difficult to use in the future, and a narrow entrance. We moved walls, widened doorways and transformed this home from floor to ceiling.

How We Transformed This Home
The existing kitchen featured a peninsula that divided the space. Instead, we incorporated wall to wall storage, a wall oven and added a dining table.
The custom, Canadian-made dining table can seat six, and up to twelve with both leaves inserted. The two-tone table and chair wood stains differentiate the table from the cabinetry and flooring and make it a distinct focal point.
The three-foot-wide stainless steel sink features a dual tier system that allows space for a drying rack, cutting boards, a colander and mixing bowl. Interchange each component for a truly custom kitchen experience. The sink makes food preparation and clean up easier.
The entrance door to the bathroom was widened to improve traffic flow into the space. New 12″ x 24″ porcelain tile with heated flooring was installed in a timeless warm grey. A crisp white vanity, with a maintenance free quartz countertop were installed and a custom scalloped backsplash adds interest to the space.
His and hers sinks allow more than one person to get ready for the day at the same time. The custom five-foot-wide walk in shower features a low threshold for ease of use and a sliding glass door.
The custom medicine cabinets are recessed into the wall to provide added storage for unsightly items, while remaining sleek and not too bulky.
The back wall was painted in a slightly darker colour to allow the clean, white cabinetry to stand out.
The shower boasts a unique accent tile in a diamond pattern, to offset the glossy white horizontal main tile.
A white acrylic shelving unit was incorporated into the design to provide storage that is easy to wipe clean. The unit sits flush with the tile for an integrated look.
Before & After
Due to the scope of the project that was undertaken, we are well pleased with the services. The quality and workmanship of the employees was fantastic. They went the extra mile to ensure we were pleased.
Mutually beneficial relationships.
